Disability Services Melbourne: NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing funding support for Australians with a disability, their families and carers.

NDIS funding was created to enable those living with disability to have a say about what supports thet receive and choose where they purchase them from, giving you more choice and control to reach your goals. Once you have your NDIS funds, it’s time to explore your possibilities!

VMCH is NDIS ready, equipped with staff who are experts in the planning process. They can provide advice to assist you in making the most of your first NDIS planning or review meeting.

We also work with a team of Support Coordinators to provide the services you need. If you don’t have a Support Coordinator, then don’t worry – we can help you there. When you’re with VMCH, we’ve got it sorted.

Your NDIS Plan

You’ll need an NDIS plan in order to access the NDIS. The NDIS planning meeting is your opportunity to justify any requests you have for NDIS support. It’s critical that you prepare for this meeting to ensure you end up with the best possible plan for your situation. Once you have registered, you’ll need to complete an NDIS Access Request form and provide evidence of your disability. Once your NDIS plan has been confirmed, you’ll be able to choose how you want to receive your chosen support services and who you want to receive them from.
